NEDA to hold Executive Conference in Chicago. The National Electronic Distributors Assn.'s annual Executive Conference will be held October 29-31 in Chicago, Ill. This year's conference, "Managing Radical Change," will focus on the changes affecting the electronic distribution industry including new competitors, new markets, e-commerce, globalization and economic factors.
Conference sessions include: "Our Changing Economy"; "Trends and Strategies for a Changing World"; "Standardizing E-commerce Language"; "The Effect of E-commerce on Distributors and Manufacturers"; "The Implications of Our Industry Going Global"; "The Value of Authorized Electronic Distribution Survey Results"; and "Surviving a Consolidating Marketplace."

EASA announces new officers. The Electrical Apparatus Service Assn. announced its new international officers for the 2000-2001 term. The new officers are:

NAW satellite broadcast set for Nov. 1.
NAW satellite broadcast set for Nov. 1. The National Assn. of Wholesaler-Distributors has set Nov. 1 as the date for its next nationwide satellite broadcast. The two-and-a-half hour program is titled "Success on the Internet: Real World Strategies for Wholesaler-Distributors."
Co-sponsored by IBM, the broadcast will be transmitted simultaneously to more than 50 locations across the country beginning at 1:30 p.m. EST. Members of the audience at all downlink sites will be able to interact with the speakers by phone, fax and e-mail throughout the broadcast.
Speakers include: Adam J. Fein, Ph.D., of Pembroke Consulting; Ann Lyman of IBM Global Services; and Michael Marks of Indian River Consulting Group.

Mary Matalin and James Carville open ISSA 2000. The International Sanitary Supply Assn. will welcome Mary Matalin and James Carville as keynote speakers for the ISSA 2000 Exhibition, Convention and Educational Conference, Oct. 11-14, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Ga.
Only three weeks before the 2000 U.S. presidential elections, Mary Matalin, 1992 deputy campaign manager for former President Bush, and James Carville, chief strategist of the 1992 Clinton campaign, will share their opposing experience and insights.
ISSA's 20 educational seminars will be divided into four educational tracks: general management, technology, sales/sales management, and legislative/regulatory. Topics will range from e-commerce and business consolidation to maximizing productivity and regulatory compliance.

ISEA elects board of trustees' officers.
ISEA elects board of trustees'officers. During its annual meeting in July, the International Safety Equipment Assn. elected Roger Gehring, president of Dalloz Safety of Reading, Pa., chairman of ISEA's board of trustees. David F. Miller III, president of H.L. Bouton Co. of Buzzards Bay, Mass., is the new vice chairman.
ISEA's membership also elected two new trustees and re-elected one. Jack Bortle of JPI, Inc. in Chesterfield, Mo., and Bernard Mishkin of Moldex-Metric, Inc. in Culver City, Calif., were newly elected to the board. Robert Hurley of Fendall Inc. in Arlington Heights, Ill., was re-elected.
