Eclipse 7.0 releasedat users conference

Shelton, conn.-Enterprise software provider Eclipse, Inc. launched Eclipse 7.0, the company's most comprehensive release to date of its flagship product, the Eclipse Distribution Management Systemr.
It was unveiled along with other cutting-edge products for sales force automation and product databases at the company's annual users conference in Orlando, Fla., which drew more than 700 people.
"We have built e-commerce capability directly into the core application, allowing the Internet to become a seamless extension of the supply chain," says Drew Mapplebeck, an Eclipse product manager. Other enhancements include lot billing, activity based costing, consigned inventory, rentals and work-order processing.
