Eclipse opens Web services unit

Shelton, conn.-Eclipse, Inc., an enterprise software provider for the distribution industry, formed an e*Business Services unit to offer end-to-end Web development services.

E-commerce services available include Web services, EDI services and Networking services. "Enabling our customers to leverage the power of the Internet so they can successfully execute their e-commerce strategies is the primary goal," says CEO Michael London. "We can now offer a broad-range of Web development services that complement our existing e*Business solutions."

Eclipse is also partnering with ASA+, an online product information and catalog center, to provide users access to industry-wide information for products not in their inventory, access to spec and product sheets for proposal submittals, and more.
