Caterpillar honors service technicians
Behind every great engine there must be a great service technician. To drive home that message, Caterpillar Engine Products Division recently held its TEC Masters competition.
Nearly 1,000 service technicians from North American Caterpillar dealers participated in the competition, which included three educational modules: self-study fundamentals of engines, self-study engine applications, and a live, timed electronic engine troubleshooting exercise.
"Top Gun" award winners in each of four categories were: industrial diesel, Joe Werner of Toromont, Stoney Creek, Ontario; industrial gas, Jeff Vogts of Foley Equipment Co., Dodge City, Kans.; EPG diesel, Mike Zeisler of Holt Company of Ohio, Sharonville, Ohio; and EPG gas, Gordon Pedersen of Finning, Calgary, Alberta.
