Hack & Band Saw Assn. changes name. The Hack and Band Saw Manufacturers Assn., one of the oldest trade associations in the country, changed its name to the North American Sawing Association in December. The group also expanded its scope to include foreign saw blade manufacturers that have a legal entity in North America, and to manufacturers of band saw machines. Machine manufacturers may join as associate members.

In addition, the association will now operate under two product divisions: the Band Saw Blade Division (including power hack saw blades) and the Power Tool Accessories Division (including holesaws, reciprocating saw blades, jigsaw blades, and portabands).
