Rakow named to NIBA post.

Rakow named to NIBA post. Randall E. Rakow is the new executive vice president and CEO of the National Industrial Belting Assn. Rakow succeeds Charles J. Blanchard who retired on Dec. 31, 1999, after 12 years of service.

Prior to his new position, Rakow was director, labor relations and strategic human resource services for NIBA's Brookfield, Wis., management firm, MRA -- The Management Association. In that post, Rakow's duties included consulting with member companies on a wide range of strategic issues, from human resource planning to succession planning to labor relations.

In other NIBA news, Thomas E. Crandall, president of Dunham Rubber & Belting, Inc. of Indianapolis, Ind., was named president of the association's board of directors for 2000. Other officers include: first vice president Wayne Hoffman of Siegling America, Inc.; second vice president Ronald Roalsen, Rubber & Plastics, Inc.; treasurer Charlie Vickers, McLeod Belting, Inc.; and immediate past president Carl Covin of Industrial Rubber Products, Inc.
