By Industrial Distribution Staff -- Industrial Distribution, 11/1/1999
NORTHBROOK, ILL.--Industrial Distribution Partners, formed in 1998, announced it has changed its name to Integra Integrated Procurement Solutions, Inc.Rudolf Huyzer, chairman and chief executive officer of Integra, said the name change was made to better reflect the firm's services, as well as to alleviate any confusion resulting from companies that had similar names in the marketplace.
"The Integra name is a much better reflection of our market capabilities to deliver integrated supply and customer-specific solutions to the medium and large customer segment," said Huyzer. "We also favored a name that connotes integrity, an important ingredient of Integra's culture. Our approach to the market is completely different than other organizations in our industry, and yet we had similar names, causing some confusion.
As part of developing the Integra brand identity, the firm is scheduled to release a new catalog this month. Integra has purchased the Ross Willoughby Co., J. Fegely & Sons, and KSC Supplying Industry.
