French receives IAPD award

The International Assn. of Plastics Distributors recently gave Mort R. French Sr. the Paul Davis Award of Merit. French is CEO of Commercial Plastics & Supply Corp. in Boca Raton, Fla.

The Award of Merit, named for the founder of IAPD, is given to an individual either in the association or the industry who has made significant contributions to IAPD or the plastics industry.

French was awarded for the "vision" he has demonstrated throughout his career. Among his accomplishments, he recognized opportunities to use plastics in new applications, and has successfully sustained a family business for three generations, according to IAPD.
