Continuous Sleeve Series gear

By Industrial Distribution Staff -- Industrial Distribution, 11/1/1999

Continuous Sleeve Series gear couplings offer the highest torque density of any mechanical power transmission coupling type, for extended service life from compact, lightweight assemblies; C-Type couplings provide up to 2.5 million in.-lbs of torque handling capacity in all-steel construction, and only 60% of the size and 50% of the weight of flanged-sleeve gear couplings with comparable torque ratings; available in 14 standard sizes with bore capabilities from 7/8-in. to 12 1/2 in.; absorb angular and offset misalignment, as well as end float; advanced assembly design and lubrication-sealing arrangement ease installation, provide reliable operation, and reduce maintenance by eliminating the need for flanges, bolts and nuts.
