Field reprogrammable compact radio series features ultra small (4.75 x 2.2 x 1.43 in.) and lightweight radios (11.5 oz with battery pack); enhanced features include rugged design, new firmware and high performance electronics; SST Plus Series radios feature conventional or trunking capability; facilitate automatic roaming between sites on a system or between affiliated networks; direct frequency assignment eliminates recalling and reprogramming radios as the system grows, prevents unauthorized use of system.
