STAFDA launches Legalcare

The Specialty Tools & Fasteners Distributors Assn. recently announced Legalcare, its newest member service. The program assists U.S. STAFDA members with business, professional, and personal legal issues.

There are two phases of Legalcare's service: Members with questions may contact the helpline to talk with a lawyer specializing in their area of need at no charge. In about 70 percent of cases, the helpline attorney will be able to resolve the issue, STAFDA reports. Should members need to retain an attorney, Legalcare will refer them to a different lawyer in their region or city. Upon retaining the lawyer, the first 30 minutes of consultation are free and, thereafter, members receive a 25 percent discount on the attorney's standard billing rate.

Legalcare is a network of 2,000 attorneys throughout the United States who are fully insured, are in good standing with their state bar associations, have been practicing for at least five years with an office outside the home, and are specialists in various legal fields, according to STAFDA.
