Pierce re-elected to AWS post.

American Welding Society past president Ronald C. Pierce was elected to an historic, third three-year term as chairman of the board of trustees of the AWS Foundation. Pierce was made eligible when the board of trustees waived the two consecutive-term limit.

Pierce is president and CEO of Welding Engineering Supply Co, Inc. based in Prichard, Ala. He was AWS president from 1997-1998 and vice president from 1994-1997.

Pierce is also chairman of the association's Membership Committee, and a member of the AWS National Nominating Committee, the Government Affairs Liaison Committee, and the Honorary Meritorious Committee.
