IFI elects new officers

At their 68th Annual Meeting earlier this year, members of the Industrial Fasteners Institute elected officers for 1999/2000.

John M. O'Brien, vice president, sales and marketing for Federal Screw Works in Detroit, was elected chairman; Robert W. Hill, president and CEO of Hill Fastener Corp. in Rock Falls, Ill., was named vice chairman; and J. William Springer, president of Industrial Nut Corp. in Sandusky, Ohio, was named immediate past chairman. Springer will serve one additional year as a member of the association's board.
