Glove sales up in fourth quarter

According to results from the National Industrial Glove Distributors Assn.'s Quarter Industry Conditions survey, distributor member sales increased 7.8 percent in the fourth quarter of 1998, as compared to the same quarter in 1997.The report also indicates that distributors' three-month inventory turnover decreased to five turns compared to 5.5 turns for the third quarter of 1998. NIGDA distributors expect sales to increase less than one percent in the first quarter of 1999.
In other NIGDA news, the association will hold its 1999 Glove Industry Conference next month in Marco Island, Fla. The meeting will be held at the Marco Island Marriott, June 19-23.
