NAHAD's affiliate members will provide displays of their latest products and services at the 1999 ServiceMart. Affiliate members offer a range of services of particular interest to distributors and manufacturers including distribution software, catalogs, insurance services, printing services, and specific products designed for the hose industry.

Members can get in touch and find out what's happening with NAHAD by participating in one or more of these special meetings on Saturday afternoon. The NAHAD Institute will hold an open house to update members on the status of the program. There will be an open house for members interested in finding out more about the Executive Forum program. NAHAD's Manufacturer and Associate Council will meet, and there will be a meeting of the International Committee, as well.

What could be a better welcome to San Antonio than a Texas Rodeo, just for NAHAD? Buses will start loading at 5:30 p.m. for the 20-minute trip to the new Far West Rodeo facility. All registered attendees are welcome (delegates, spouses and children) to enjoy some Texas food and beverages while enjoying live music and a thrilling rodeo.

Manufacturer and Associate Contact Table Program

Monday, April 19

8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

This year's Contact Table Program, designed in response to suggestions and comments received by NAHAD members, will feature 120 exhibit tables for NAHAD's manufacturer and associate member companies. Distributors have the opportunity to meet one-to-one with manufacturer and associate suppliers who provide a variety of products, services, and programs of value to all members.

The Contact Table Program will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday, April 19 and will include a continental breakfast for all distributor attendees. Exhibitors will have the opportunity to have a separate and earlier breakfast to be ready for the official opening at 8:30 a.m.

Featured speaker, Dr. Bart Basi, will provide complimentary, confidential 30-minute consultations on personal and business financial planning, tax issues, or purchasing decisions for NAHAD members. The sessions are granted on a first-come, first-served basis, by appointment. Most appointments were made by pre-registration, but NAHAD will be making appointments at the convention if space is available.

Two Sessions

A new program will be introduced this year, centered around the "Four Trends Reshaping Wholesale Distribution," which emerged in the Arthur Andersen 1998 study, "Facing the Forces of Change." During this program, members will have an opportunity to participate in two round- table discussions. They can also share experiences and ask questions of NAHAD "pros" who have had in-depth experience with a particular issue or problem. Information about the session topics was sent out in a mailing by NAHAD. In addition to learning from the acquired knowledge of others in the industry, members will get another chance to network.
