AMTDA recognizes certifications.

The American Machine Tool Distributors Assn. recently awarded 25 individuals the designation Certified Machine Tool Sales Engineer. There are now 701 CMTSEs in the United States and Canada.

The CMTSE program acknowledges individuals with a proven level of competence in machine tool sales through personal experience, education and testing. CMTSEs must pursue periodic recertification through a variety of professional activities designed to keep them current in machine tool sales and technology.

The CMTSE program is supported by the Assn. for Manufacturing Technology, the National Tooling and Machining Assn., the Precision Metalforming Assn., and the Machinery Dealers' National Assn.
