Latest innovations await distributors at NMW
By Staff -- Industrial Distribution, 3/1/1999
CHICAGO--Discovering the latest technologies and networking with suppliers will top the list of priorities for distributors attending National Manufacturing Week, March 15-18, at McCormick Place. In 1998, NMW featured more than a half million net square feet of exhibit space and attracted more than 60,000 industry professionals.
Devoted to the interests of distributors, Industrial Distribution Day -- on Tuesday, March 16 -- will provide an opportunity for distributors to network with their peers and learn about technology and its effect on the supply chain. ID Day is sponsored by the American Supply & Machinery Manufacturers' Assn., the Industrial Distribution Assn., Power Transmission Distributors Assn., the Fluid Power Distributors Assn., and Industrial Distribution and Reed Exhibition Companies.
James C. Davis, Harbinger Corp.'s group executive of business development and strategic alliances, will be the featured speaker at the ID Day luncheon. Davis will focus on electronic commerce.
The 1998-99 Industrial Distribution Excellence in Distribution Award winners will be honored during a post-show networking reception. Also, distributors looking for new suppliers will be interested in the Distributor/Manufacturer Locator directories at both the MROP Assn.'s booth (#9529) on the National Plant Engineering Show floor, and the Industrial Distribution booth (#800) on the National Design Engineering Show floor.
