Vehicle restraint is pit-mounted and retractable; restraining arm completely retracts inside foundation wall to provide clean, clear, unobstructed loading dock; permits access to dock position for smaller vehicles and trucks with hydraulic tailgates, and to dock positions where forklifts are required to work outside to lift/place cargo to/from the dock; effectively restricts trailer movement during loading process.
