Pentacon forms two new divisions

Houston, Tex.--Pentacon, Inc., the rollup of fastener companies that was formed in late 1997, has announced it has formed two separate divisions of the company -- Pentacon Aerospace Group and the Pentacon Industrial Group.Pentacon chairman Mark Baldwin stated that the changes were made to accommodate the different business needs of customers from the industrial and aerospace segments.
"As we put together our integration plans, it became very apparent that the two businesses have different customers and suppliers, and different needs from the customers," he said.
Alatec Products, ASI Aerospace Group and Texas International Aviation have combined to form Pentacon's Aerospace Group. Donald B. List, president of Alatec Products, has been named president of the Aerospace Group.
AXS Solutions, Capital Bolt & Supply, D-Bolt Co., Maumee Industries, Pace Products, and Sales Systems Limited will join to form the Industrial Group. Michael Peters, current head of Maumee Industries, will lead the Industrial Group.
