Glove industry conference set for June

The National Industrial Glove Distributors Assn. and the International Hand Protection Assn. will hold their joint 1999 Glove Industry Conference June 20-23 at the Marco Island Marriott Resort and Golf Club in Marco Island, Fla. Program details are still being finalized, according to association staff.

In other news, NIGDA recently named its 1998 Hall of Fame honoree, an award that recognizes those who have made outstanding contributions to the industrial glove industry. The honor went to William Franklin, who began his career in 1958 with the Keller Glove Co. of , Pa. After working in the knitting room and shipping department, he moved to sales and then into management. Franklin is past president of the Work Glove Manufacturers Assn. and one of the first associate members of NIGDA ...
