Cieslak named AWS liaison to Washington

The American Welding Society recently chose Dr. Michael J. Cieslak of the Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, N. Mex., to serve as the society's first Congressional Fellow. Cieslak will serve a one-year term as AWS' liaison with policymakers in Washington, D.C. His term began in September.

Beginning this month, AWS, in conjunction with Quality Service International, will offer ISO 9000 training seminars de-signed to maximize standards for quality and customer service. The seminars will be offered at locations across the country.
