'98 glove sales predicted to rise

The National Industrial Glove Distributors Assn. is predicting that 1998 glove sales will be up slightly over 1997. That's according to the association's Quarterly Industry Conditions Survey. Figures for the second quarter of 1998 show that distributor member sales increased 12.6 percent as compared to the same quarter last year.

Data also indicates that distributors' three-month inventory turn-over decreased from 6.1 turns last quarter to 5.5. Distributors participating in the report expect a seven percent increase in sales in the third quarter, according to the survey...
