NFDA to meet in San Francisco

San Francisco--The National Fastener Distributors Assn. holds its Fall City Meeting this month in San Francisco. The meeting will be held in conjunction with the Industrial Fasteners Institute and the Western Assn. of Fastener Distributors meetings at the Mark Hopkins Inter-Continental, Sept. 10-12.

Featured sessions include an update on the Fastener Quality Act, scheduled to go into full effect on Oct. 12, information on bar code standards for the fastener industry, a discussion of the locking features for internally and externally threaded fasteners, and strategies for surviving consolid- ation. Two sessions on supply chain management are also planned. Featured speakers include Adam J. Fein, president of Pembroke Consulting and J. Michael Marks of the Indian River Consulting Group.

In addition to the business sessions, NFDA, IFI and WAFD will hold several joint social events and spouse programs.
