Industry veterandies at 77

Avon lake, ohio -- Harry M. Parke, former president and founder of Parke Supply Co. in Avon Lake, Ohio, died on Feb. 27 at the Cleveland Clinic Hospice Wing of the Corinthian Skilled Nursing Center in Westlake, Ohio. He was 77.

Parke was well-known in the industrial distribution business. He was a featured speaker for the National Industrial Distributors Assn. (now part of the Industrial Distribution Assn.), and the American Management Assn.

From 1958 to 1986 he held a number of key positions in the industry, including president of the W.I. Wilcox Co. in Toledo; president of Bingham, Inc. in Cleveland; vice president, marketing for the W.M. Pattison Supply Co. in Cleveland; and president of Cleveland Tool & Supply Co. in Mansfield, Ohio.
