John Major to address ASMMA/I.D.A. meeting

Orlando, Fla.--John Major, former prime minister of Great Britain, will be the keynote speaker at the ASMMA/I.D.A. Spring Convention on Sunday, June 7 at the Marriott World Center in Orlando, Fla. Major follows on the heels of Gen. Colin Powell, who addressed the 1997 Spring Convention.Major, conservative member of the parliament for Huntingdon, was appointed prime minister in 1990. He retained the post when his party won the general election in April, 1992.
Major's remarks, titled "Into the Next Millennium," will help ASMMA and I.D.A. members kick off their annual convention. Some 3,000 manufacturers, distributors, spouses and guests are expected to attend this year's event, to be held June 7-9.
