STAFDA rents the SkyDome

Anyone who thought the Specialty Tools and Fastener Distributors Assn. couldn't outdo its recent annual meeting in New Orleans can think again. When the association holds its 22nd Annual Convention in Toronto in November, members will be treated to an opening party at the famed SkyDome -- home of the Toronto Blue Jays. STAFDA has rented the entire arena and will host a "Country Fair Evening" from 7-10 p.m. on its eight-acre field. Included in the event will be hot air balloon rides, a ferris wheel and a carousel -- all inside the dome. Members will also have the opportunity to watch themselves on a huge Jumbotron TV--the world's largest! Weather permitting, STAFDA officials hope to roll back the roof for a view of the stars.
