Video on RF bar coding a hit

Boulder, Colo.--Eclipse Inc., developer of real-time radio frequency bar coding, has sent out more than 700 informational videos to show distributors how to add RF technology to their operations.

Introduced last year, the RF bar coding system sets up a "paperless warehouse," the company an-nounced. Orders get transmitted instantly to warehouse workers who quickly identify product bin locations with hand-held computers. The video, entitled "The 21st Century Warehouse: Using Radio Frequency Bar Coding Technology,'' was released last fall and features hard goods distributors who implemented the system.

Eclipse said nearly 20 industrial, plumbing, heating, A/C, and PVF distributors already use it. The company expects half of its customers will adopt it within a year or more.
