Metasys shipping software recognized

Charlotte, N.C.--Metasys Inc.'s World Wide Web-friendly enterprise transportation management software was recognized as one of "Industry Week'' magazine's technologies of the year for 1997.

The company, which develops three-tie client/server transportation management solutions, introduced webETM last year. The software helps manage the complete shipment life cycle -- from order entry through shipment planning, execution to automated payment and claims management. It is fully integrated with EDI, the Internet and enterprise information systems so even casual users are afforded total uptime and visibility.

The magazine presents the award annually to recognize 25 organizations involved in the development of innovative new technologies.
