Network at ID Day
By Staff -- Industrial Distribution, 2/1/1998
This year's "Industrial Distribution Day'' is set for March 17, St. Patrick's Day, and will again highlight the role distribution plays in the channel. As in past years, I.D.A. and ASMMA will sponsor an invitation-only luncheon from noon to 1:30 p.m. in Room N227, McCormick. Mike Bailey, supply base manager for Deere & Co., will present an incisive look at supply chain management from the customer's perspective.Industrial Distribution, the Power Transmission Distributors Assn. and the Fluid Power Distributors Assn. will also host a free seminar on "Electronic Commerce: Impact on the Distribution Channel,'' featuring industry expert Steve Epner of BSW Consulting. The seminar will be held from 4-5 p.m. at Room N226. Following the seminar, a cocktail reception will be held on the plant show floor until 6 p.m. sponsored by Reed Exhibition Companies, the PDTA, FPDA, Industrial Distribution and ASMMA.
ASMMA President Dan Perry calls it a "jam-packed 24 hours'' no MRO manufacturer or distributor should miss. "We all need to take advantage of these customer opportunities wherever and whenever we find them,'' he says.
There will also be a distributor and manufacturer's rep locator service, located at Industrial Distribution Booth #800.
