J. Fegely closes acquisition deal

Pottstown, PA.-- General-line distributor J. Fegely Inc. completed its acquisition of Fulton, Mehring & Hauser Co., Inc. of York, Pa. in November. Fulton, Mehring & Hauser will operate as a separate stocking branch of J. Fegely and will continue to provide sales and customer support at its York facility.

The acquisition is the second by J. Fegely in just over a year, following the purchase of Carey Machinery & Supply in Baltimore, Md.

Company officials say the latest merger strengthens J. Fegely's presence in the Harrisburg, York and Lancaster area and provides customers access to higher inventory levels and more products.

The two companies have a combined 242 years in the industry, as Fegely was founded in 1851 and today operates as a fifth-generation business.
