NWSA elects new leaders

The National Welding Supply Assn. elected new leaders during its annual meeting, held this year in Washington, D.C., Oct. 18-22. Each of the new officers will serve a one-year term.Chip Valentine, vice chairman of nexAir, LLC based in Memphis, Tenn., is NWSA's new president; Fred Fitch of Fitch Industrial Welding and Supply in Lawton, Okla., is president-elect; and Dave Mahoney, president of AWESCO based in Albany, N.Y., was elected first vice president.
The three new officers will be supported on the executive committee by two past presidents: Ken Biederman, chairman of the board for Airweld Inc., based in Long Island, N.Y., and William Higley, vice president of Interstate Welding Sales Corp. of Marinette, Wisc.
Five zone vice presidents and five zone directors were also elected at the meeting...
