Electrical distributors merge: NESCO buys Walsh Electric Supply branch

A pair of electrical distributors united as Needham Electric Supply Co. acquired the Rutland, Vt., branch of Walsh Electric Supply.
Canton, Mass.-based NESCO said the 7,900-square-foot location will join its Yankee Electric Supply division, which serves Vermont and New Hampshire. The branch includes a 1,400-square-foot counter service operation and a 6,500-square-foot warehouse.
“We are thrilled to have Walsh Electric Supply in Rutland join the NESCO family and look forward to working with the associates to strengthen our presence in Vermont,” NESCO president Gregory Wilson said. “Walsh has an excellent reputation for high-quality customer service and we look forward to providing even greater levels of service through the resources of a larger organization, including a regional distribution center and the latest technology.”
