Fastenal Inc.’s April sales rose 22.7 percent to $202 million, compared with $165 million during April 2007.
The Winona, Minn.-based fastener and MRO distributor opened six new stores last month, compared with 12 openings during the same month last year, and employed 12,672 people at month’s end, up nearly 16 percent compared with all of 2007.
Fastenal ranked 11th on INDUSTRIAL DISTRIBUTION’s 2007 Big 50 list of distributors, with 2006 sales of $1.81 billion.
